Is this group therapy?
Yes. This program is offered and billed as group therapy. While it is skills‑focused and practical, it is facilitated by a licensed mental health professional and meets criteria for therapeutic group treatment.
What approaches are used?
The program incorporates evidence‑informed parenting strategies, including PRIDE skills, developmental guidance, and relationship‑based behavior management.
Will this help with big behaviors or emotional outbursts?
Sessions focus on responding differently to distress versus behavior, increasing predictability, and maintaining connection during challenging moments.
Is the group online?
Yes. This group is fully online, so you can participate from anywhere in Oklahoma in a way that fits your schedule.
Because this is a therapy group, we ask that you join from a private, quiet space where others are not able to hear your session. This helps protect your confidentiality as well as the privacy of other group members.
Who do I contact if I have questions?
You can reach us via email at info@crosscareinstitute.com. We’re here to help you with any questions or concerns you may have!
Where do we meet online?
We’ll gather on Zoom for all our sessions! It’s the perfect space for us to connect, share resources, and engage in real-world case consultations.
How does payment and attendance work?
The cost is $35 per week, which holds your place in the group and helps maintain a consistent, supportive space for everyone involved. Group therapy works best when members are able to participate regularly, so your spot is reserved for you each week.
Because your space is held for you, the weekly fee applies whether or not you’re able to attend a session. If you do need to miss, you’re always welcome to return the following week, and we encourage as much consistency as possible to help you get the most benefit from the group.
For those using insurance, we’ll provide more specific information about how billing works in this group format during the enrollment process.
